Where can you try a Helix mattress in person?
At partner showrooms and furniture retailers in the US and Canada, including Rooms To Go stores in the Southeast, which have stocked the Midnight Elite since August 2025. Showrooms don't carry every model, so call ahead. To keep the 120-night trial, try in store but buy direct, because the trial may not apply to retailer purchases.
Helix says its mattresses are available in partner showrooms across the US and Canada, and its site has a showroom finder. It warns that partners do not carry every model and recommends calling before you visit to check which ones are on the floor.
The largest named partner is Rooms To Go. In August 2025 Helix announced that its stores in the Southeastern US would sell the Midnight Elite, the Midnight Luxe with a GlacioTex pillow top and the Twilight Core. Of the seven Elite models, only the Midnight Elite was named, so you may not find the softer or firmer Elite models there.
Where you buy matters more than where you try. Sleep Foundation reports that Helix's sleep trial may not apply to mattresses bought through partner retail stores, and owners warn that retailers can charge return fees. Helix's warranty does cover purchases from authorized retailers.
A showroom visit narrows the choice but does not settle it. Owners report the delivered Midnight Elite feeling softer or firmer than the showroom model. Use the store to choose a firmness, then buy direct so the 120-night trial and comfort-insert swap can fix a wrong guess.

Helix Elite review: excellent for side sleepers, outscored on valueBy Purchasd Research. Performance scores come from three professional testing outlets: NapLab, Sleepopolis and Sleep Foundation. NapLab is the only one of them that has scored every model compared here on the same scale (its scoring system 1.3), so the head-to-head table uses NapLab alone. Construction, trial and warranty terms come from each manufacturer. Helix's website refuses automated requests, so its product, Elite collection, warranty and return-policy pages were read from Internet Archive captures dated 5 June to 17 September 2026. Its Queen reference price was confirmed against Helix's storefront product feed on 27 September 2026. Competitor prices were read from the manufacturers' pages on 27 September 2026. Where a page did not display the Queen price, NapLab's listed price was used, and each price is labeled with its source. Purchasd tested no mattresses. Owner experience comes from twelve Reddit threads read in full on 1 October 2026 (r/Mattress and r/HelixSleep, 2023–2026), used to find recurring complaints and disagreements, never to estimate failure rates. Purchasd is not affiliated with Helix Sleep or any competitor and uses no affiliate links. All three testing outlets cited here, and Tom's Guide, disclose that they may earn commission on sales, which is common among mattress review sites. Purchasd does not.
