How long is the Helix Elite sleep trial, and what does the warranty cover?
The trial is 120 nights from delivery, but you must keep the mattress at least 30 nights before starting a return, and a household gets at most two returns. The warranty is a limited lifetime warranty for the original purchaser: free repair or replacement for 10 years, prorated after that, and not transferable.
Helix's return policy, updated in January 2026, gives every mattress a 120-night trial with a 30-night minimum and a limit of two returns per household, with a full refund. Many reviews, including Sleepopolis's, still quote the earlier 100 nights. During the trial, Helix can send a different comfort insert if the firmness is wrong. Sleep Foundation notes that the trial may not apply to mattresses bought through partner retail stores.
The warranty covers Helix mattresses bought after 1 February 2025, for the original purchaser in the US or Canada. Helix repairs or replaces a defective mattress at no cost for 10 years. After that you pay part of the price for a replacement, 50% to 75% by Sleep Foundation's account. Helix's warranties are not transferable.
Among the rivals, the Saatva Latex Hybrid offers 365 nights and a lifetime warranty. The TEMPUR-Adapt offers 90 nights and 10 years.
Owners who used the trial mostly report a quick pickup and a full refund, with one poorly tracked exception. Buy direct where you can, since retailers may charge return fees, and keep photos of your foundation: a Helix staff account says warranty claims ask for them and that slats more than 5.5 inches apart void the warranty.
